As seen by the title, "The Home" deals with people and the home. We settled quickly on the home as the topic because we believe that reflecting on the building blocks of life is of paramount importance—especially in times of difficulty—and that this foundation begins in the home. That is, we took a break from visiting scenes showcasing one single brand to individual spaces where our lives leave behind myriad stories. "The Home" focuses on houses that shows a distinct attitude of the owner on the way he or she views the space rather than just style, size, or structure. We also categorized the homes that share a similar value. For example, a person that lives and work from home would go under ‘Home Office’ while someone who chose to live in the suburban area that prefers freedom over convenience would be categorized as ‘Rural Life’. Starting with our short interview with Suyong Joh, Magazine B’s editorial team met with numerous creators all over the world to hear their opinion on the meaning and purpose of home and how homes can be so much more than the typical house we experience in our daily lives.

THE SHOP
.
While shops featured in The Shop differ in sizes and industries, they work in the same way that they continue to verify the values they pursue and transfer their business roadmap in the physical space. The book describes how Freitag, Aesop, and Muji have demonstrated their philosophies and future strategies through physical spaces. Gildas Loa)c, founder of Maison Kitsune, and Alasdair Fenning, head of retail for Rapha Asia-Pacific at Rapha, share their ideas and thoughts through interviews with The Shop.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
THE NEIGHBORHOOD is a book that goes beyond the concept of space and tells the story of neighborhoods that care for individual lives and our relationships.
Following <The Home> and <The Shop>, <The Neighborhood> is a detailed look at the neighborhood as a cornerstone of life. In modern society, the neighborhood functions as another 'home', and we constantly envision our own ideal neighborhoods. Six 'ideal' neighborhoods- Körnerkiez in Berlin, Charonne in Paris, Seochon in Seoul, Greenwich Village in New York, Hampstead in London, Venice in LA- are introduced. We met with those who have helped sculpt the neighborhoods into what they are today- from the locals to the shop owners- to see what the six communities have in common and what sets them apart.
In retrospect, many people find positive and peaceful feelings when they think of or talk about the concept of neighborhood. This is probably because for some people, the neighborhood is another home, something they feel closer to than home. It may even be the direction and utopia of life. One thing is certain, the word 'neighborhood' has a warm warmth. When you ask the people around you, “What kind of neighborhood do you want to live in?”, you can clearly see that everyone was contemplating and smiling happily.
The six neighborhoods introduced in The Neighborhood have a common keyword, namely, the human scale: Körnerkiz in Berlin, Sharon in Paris, Seochon in Seoul, Greenwich Village in New York, Hampstead in London, and Venice in L.A. . And to the question, “What kind of neighborhood do you want to live in?”, answers for different reasons are given. These days, people are more interested in the quality of life I enjoy now than in the distant future. I hope this book will help you think more often about the neighborhood you want to live in and make your dreams come true.
